Can I get a buy-to-let mortgage if I live abroad? +

Yes, it is possible to get a UK buy to let mortgage as an overseas resident. But you will need a specialist expat mortgage provider in the UK.

Do I need to tell the finance provider if I move abroad? +

You won't have to change your mortgage to a buy to let if your lender is prepared to offer you its consent. If it does, you stick with the mortgage you have when you move abroad.

Can overseas residents buy a house in the UK? +

Foreigners can legally buy property in the UK, whether they are classed as residents.
